I hate the weird feeling of guilt against myself for not creating or painting anything the last few months then I have to remember that it's completely normal and a part of my process as well as a lot of other peoples'. I don't paint or do anything for ~3 months and then for 2 months I push things out nonstop. It's a never ending cycle. I've realized my peaks are mid/late winter (aka vampire time in my brain's calendar) into early spring - and mid/late summer around and after my birthday.
Living and doing shit is a part of it all, I commend people who's creative drives are at a constant 100.

"The more I paint I'm more creative, and my creativity is more intense and creative than ever." ~Karen
As an engineer, it was very clear that the "painting process is more intense than ever."
I think I have to say that the "painting process is less intense than EVER" because I am a lot less likely to have an "unconscious" urge to do a project that I don't like. I think that it is more important that I paint and then get a new job.
As an engineer I am not afraid to try something new. I am a little more creative. But it is still a process. I have to keep trying to find the right balance. I think the more you paint and get a better job, the more creative and fun you will become."

I have to try my hardest not to be a "painting slave". I think it is important to paint and try something different every once in awhile. I think it's a good habit to try to paint and try something different every once and awhile because that is what you will find.
"Painting and trying to make something new are two different processes, but it's not about trying different things. You have to do something different and try different things. If you do it right it's good. But if you try different things and try to make it better you can get frustrated.
If it's hard for you and if you have to learn to make a different thing then it is better for the next time
