Yesterday, I asked a friend of mine to tell me one thing he didn't understand about women, and he replied with "The fact that women care too much about what others think of them.". That made me reflect. To get an answer, I went back to my childhood and pre-teens, when I (and most of us girls and women) was constantly told to be sweet, presentable and pleasant to others, and to be an example at all times. This pressure to be perfect gains long, long roots in our minds, and torments us as we get older. It makes us rely on the validation of others for self-fulfillment.
But why don't boys get the same education as us? Why can they be accepted for their flaws and we can't? The thing is, the world we live in is created for men, by men. Our lives are conditioned at birth, and it could be in favour or against us, regarding our gender. Men are so privileged from the moment they are born that the majority of them has no idea how bad we have it.
