Birthday

Hey everyone! I'm very happy today because it's my birthday! I am now 24 years old! Honestly, life feels like it's going so fast as of late. It could be because of the pandemic or the fact that with age time goes by faster, but it feels as though not long ago I was just in my early 20's. Dumb and sentimental, I know. I know people say that when you get older you celebrate your birthday less and less, and even my mom told me that birthdays now just feel like another day. While that may be true to some people, I'm young at heart and I refuse to simply not celebrate a special day for me personally. I may not have a huge party with a big cake and tons of presents, but I can always enjoy the little things on this day, and still make it feel like a special day. 

Alternatively, today is the 10 year anniversary of Dashcon. I had turned 14 years old, celebrating my 14th birthday while being unaware that internet history was born. I did frequent Tumblr during this time and was even told that there were plans for a Tumblr convention, but I never knew when the exact date was, nor where it was gonna be. Even if I knew when it was, I still wouldn't be able to go because it was in a different state than my own. Even then, this would probably be the worst 14th birthday, considering how Dashcon turned out. I don't remember what I did for my 14th birthday. Probably spent time with friends and family, eating cake, and opening presents.
