recently unearthed footage

Back in September 2014, I did a short Germany tour with two music legends: Bassist TM Stevens and drummer TC Tolliver. There was no footage of any shows filmed...

Or so we thought.

TC sent me this link last night and I jumped out of my chair:  TM Stevens Brilon 

Hold on...we were actually being captured on video?! Apparently so. It's short but you can hear and feel the energy swirling around. In this clip, we played TM's song "Go My Way" interspersed with bits of "We Want The Funk" by P-Funk and some little Latin jam at the end. With TM, you never knew what he was going to do, so it was best to be aware at all times. 

Looking at this clip brought back a lot of memories. It was the first time I ever toured. And not only that, the first time I traveled outside of the USA. This skinny kid from North Arlington who fantasized about being a guitar god had his dream come true, even if it was only for a week. I can live with that.

TM gave me the ride of a lifetime when he asked me two months prior, "I need a guitarist for a Germany tour? You in?" Uh...yep! I will always be grateful for that.

Hope you enjoy the video and yes, I am not playing an Ibanez guitar or Orange amp here. The tour was being sponsored by Warwick, so I had to use their Framus gear. And yes, I mentioned this to the guys at Ibanez, and they understood. If I didn't say anything, I would have lost my deal.
