Recently I've been seeing so many comments saying that Julie sounds like MBV which is true, they do have some similarities. But the problem is that some people really think that Julie is an MBV knockoff. Of course, they're going to at least sound similar as every single band that has ever been related to shoegaze has taken inspiration from the all-mighty MBV. But to say that Julie is a knockoff is an overstatement. As if MBV has never taken inspiration from other bands in their lives. MBV has taken lots of inspiration from artists like AR Kane and Sonic Youth. But then again it might just be old men shaking their fists at kids, telling them to get off the lawn. Harmless but annoying nonetheless. No hate towards MBV this is just to show how people are so unwilling to welcome new bands into the Shoegaze scene without saying that they sound just like My Bloody Valentine. Not every band's music sounds like something "straight off of loveless" or "straight off of isn't anything". It's not a compliment if you say it to every band you come across.
