Just a thought idk

I went scrolling though the blog posts on this site and I'm NGL I'm a little disturbed by what I've seen. Victim blaming, transphobia, ableism, yk shit I've seen on every other social media I thought this site wouldn't have. But ig that's to be expected, whatever, these ppl are gonna make their way into everything, what makes me even more upset is all the ppl just brushing it off. Bc really? Is that the attitude we wanna have abt ppl saying the most vile shit they can think of? I dont think we should, I feel like that just allows these ppl to keep spewing bullshit until they turn every site into Twitter basically. Whether they're posting it for ragebait, or if they genuinely believe this and want to spew hateful rhetoric is semantics to me idgaf. What I do gaf Abt is that they feel like they're allowed to in the first place and how complicit we all are in just letting it happen. I'm not saying we need to go on massive crusades and stomp these ppl out, that just isn't possible. But I do think we can all say "hey this is fucked up, that's a fucked up thing to say", report the posts and stop allowing these ppl to feel safe to say this shit. This is one of the biggest problems w the Internet nowadays. Nazis have so many places to go where they feel safe to spew their rhetoric. Hateful ppl feel safe to say hateful shit. It's terrifying, I'm genuinely fucking scared for the future bc of these ppl. I don't think ppl should feel safe to call for the deaths of an entire minority, tell victims of they get groomed or abuse it's their faults, etc etc. I'm going to do what I can to flood the internet w positivity, bc I believe that's what we all need, but I'm also not going to tolerate ppl saying this shit, and I think the internet would be a better place if we all stopped tolerating it. The mentality of "it's the internet if you don't like it don't look, log off" is maybe sometimes beneficial to you personally, cause yeah sometimes you do need to log off for you. But guess what, that doesn't stop hate from spreading. It doesn't have to be this way, why are we pretending it does?
