There's something so satisfying about running something so sleek and elegant (I'm running Zorin OS on this computer) on something deemed so old and frankly obsolete. This computer only has two gigs of ram and yet it's running (pretty) smoothly! I can game pretty decently on this--I've only tried FOSS games like ExtremeTuxRacer or SuperTuxKart and other stuff on the software installer thingy like Sonic Robo Blast 2 or Minecraft (Pi edition) and they all run really well! I'm excited to try out my own games on it too! uwu
I want to get another old computer working so I can play around with other operating systems such as Kali, Elementary, Pop, Fedora, and Arch. I even wanna try installing Puppy OS on an older computer. I want to get a good computer to use as a tertiary daily driver. My main driver is a 2017 Macbook Pro that I love very much, my secondary driver is a MacBook A1181 from 2008 running Zorin OS (oh hey, it's this computer!), and as of right now my tertiary driver is an old Asus running Windows 8.
Why do I need so many computers? Cuz I'm a nerd. That's why. Some nerds hoard dice. I hoard computers. Oh, and stuffed animals.
I also installed Garuda Dragonized on my gaming computer. I took out my old Windows 11 (ew) hard drive and replaced it with a new one to install the new operating system. I still need to finish setting it up with Cemu so I can play Breath of the Wild and OpenGOAL so I can play Jak and Daxter...
I wonder how Jak games would run on this computer. The PS2 only had 32mb of RAM so this old MacBook with only 2GB should run it fine, right? I'll try it out and get back to y'all.
But yeah, in conclusion, tigers are cute and fluffy and linux is based!
