plagues of the seasons

winter - cabin fever for everybody. you're alternately depressed and bouncing off the walls; you eat sugary junk to pass the time. you're perpetually sweaty and over-heated but miserably cold the second you take a layer off. somebody's complaining about the heating bill. you wake up in the middle of the night because your feet have become solid blocks of ice. you read about local homeless people dying in the newspaper. there's plenty of heart attacks around the holiday season; so festive.

fall - everyone's allergies are acting up, even the people who didn't have allergies previously. the trees are beautiful but they cover the sidewalks in slippery leaves. it's constantly raining. the rain makes everything glossy and green, but the sky is still white and the sun is still missing. you can't shake this odd nostalgic feeling. you await winter's blues with trepidation.

spring - more fucking rain. and pollen. the sun doesn't seem to know whether it wants to show its face or not. seasonal mood roulette.

summer - even hermits hate this season. you're perpetually damp and sticky feeling, even immediately post-shower. somehow this season is easily romanticizable despite objectively sucking. is romanticizable a word? probably not. it's hard to think when your noodle is baking in 85> deg heat. and hey, skin cancer!

i felt all of this. but alternatively - fortune of the seasons, i'd like to think the universe only shows the colors you seek to view. don't let the tears build up the years type shit

true true, lots of good things to focus on as well, no matter the situation.
plus there are some who enjoy being baked like a lizard in the sun, and some who like freezin their toes off. gotta go where you function best :p
