miss the old internet

while going through tumblr this morning trying to find fanart for anime the whole vibe wasnt the same. it was very dead. it kind of makes me sad? I know im only 22 but i remember when the internet was the coolest thing ever and the possibilities were endless and tumblr/deviantart was popping off, youtube was fun and carefree, and flash was still alive. it just feels like things today online are so manufactured and i understand its for the algorithm but its just made the internet such a chore or a job. i could just be missing my childhood and it very well had a hand in making the internet fun. just feels tiring
