The death of fandom spaces

This is gonna end up a rant and idk where I'm going with it bare with me


Now, I'm an mha fan (fun police go cry) and since the manga is ending soon there's like so many people acting as if they can't like it anymore since it's ending, it's not even the end of ALL mha content, just the manga, we've still got the rest of the anime, that v!all might movie, possibly vigilantes (tho I can't remember if that's 100% confirmed). JUST CAUSE SOMETHINGS OVER DOESN'T MEAN IT HAS TO BE DEAD, like I get it, it's sad we're not getting more of the manga but it's been going for basically 10 years (10 years literally yesterday), let it end, you can still enjoy media without there being current updates to it T_T

2020 was the death of fandom space (hyperbole kinda) like I'm glad fandoms got more normalised since they're awesome, I wouldn't be who I am if fandom spaces weren't blown up in 2020/2021. I have looked back at fan content from before (tumbler, ao3, ect) and it looked so much more fun and so much less toxic. Like when big groups of cosplayers sing at a convention, that is just fans being fans, but then ppl are just so rude about it, you went to a convention why are you upset when avarage convention goers are there.

Or shipping... ship and let ship (minus illegal ones) is a good rule of thumb. But NO now you can't ship anyone unless it's cannon. Like how Charlie(hazbin hotel) and Alastor (I am a chaggie superfan and never liked this sorta ship anyway, but I could at least be civil abt it) or Alastor and angel dust used to be popular ships, I can see why they aren't now cuz of Alastor's cannon identity, but ppl didn't used to tell ppl to delete their own life save file over it, the shippers got along (somewhat, yk what I mean).

Then there's mha, bkdk, tddk, krbk used to be AMAZING ships, but now, woo hoo, if you don't ship anything other than izuocha, kamijiro, and MAYBE Erasermic, your suddenly the worst person alive who can't understand the media. 

Rare pairs are the most amazing little jems fight me. And Bkdk is a perfectly understandable ship, they're the two main characters who both almost threw their lives away just to save the other, togachaco, they're literally made for each other (like actually, horikoshi made toga for ochaco). MOMOJIRO (litterally my favourite ship of all time) They are amazing together, but nooooo, I can't ship them cause Kamijiro is "basically cannon" T_T I love stuff like Shindeku, "oh that would never happen" "thats so unrealistic" zip it, fanfics of them are AMAZING -- ((Bad ideas (and good results) by gxdofthesun on ao3. U do need an ao3 acc to read it sorry TvT but it's a top tier fic, vigilante izuku, he doesn't get ofa, he's immortal instead, shindeku, erasermic, dadzawa, dadmic, JIRO'S A SEMI MAIN CHARACTER. I will never stop loving the fic it is a masterpiece)) --
