MY OPINION ON EVERY DEVO ALBUM!!

Hardcore - It’s alright, some songs are AAUUUGH AMAZING, don’t appreciate the racism though, but it was the mid-70s and they don’t rlly have that anymore. Some songs are terrible though. Would only recommend it to people who’ve already been fans for a while and can appreciate the old stuff that’s super low quality and doesn’t sound good.

Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are DEVO! -AWW MAMA YEAHHH I really like the harder more punk-ish sounds and minimal synths, Mark’s crazy yelling and screaming vocals have me going feral. Good album for those who like early punk.

Duty Now For The Future - Some of the tracks on here are boring, and it feels like they didn’t have enough time to work on it, but SOME OF THESE TRACKS RRRRGHHHH!!! Would recommend it for those who like early synth sounds and t that certain 70s feel that I can’t describe.

Freedom Of Choice - First album with a bigass hit, very well rounded in terms of synths and guitar balance, along with the high vocals finally really coming to light. There’s barely boring tracks on here, and the themes of the songs are so awww yeah!!! Would recommend it to those who really want that anti-capitalism anti-america feel in them, along with anyone who just wants the peak of the DEVO spirit!

New Traditionalists - Very synth heavy, feels much more robotic, and some of the tracks are a bit too boring and unnecessarily sexual imo, BUT OH MY GOD some of these tracks go so hard. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to listen to weird jerky robotic sounds and vocals along with themes of love absolutely sucking, and rejecting the status-quo, and a little bit of stuff thrown in there from the church of the subgenius

Oh No! It’s DEVO!! - Even more synth heavy, but these songs are silly as fuck. It sounds like they’re just playing around in this one. Would recommend to those who just want the silly.

Shout - Oh god this one kinda sucks, mark pretty much took over all of it, it relies too much on synths and computers, there’s like no guitar, caused alan to quit, but some of the tracks are still good. lyrics are too damn emotional for my taste. Would recommend it to people who enjoy Lemon Demon’s Spirit Phone (specifically reaganomics) bc ig Neil reused some of the sounds on this album from what I’ve heard.

Total DEVO - Finally dialing back on the synths slightly, guitars are used more, they got a new drummer. Still not too good, but some of the tracks hit. Would recommend it to those who are coming from a more mainstream pop type background, but these songs are still strange.

Smooth Noodle Maps - YAAAY I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! They got rlly silly for this one, it’s very Lemon Demon feeling, they got silly with the lyrics and sounds. Would recommend to any lemon demon fans.

Something For Everybody - feels like they tried making something too clean, but dragged in the dirt of their past. Very strange and has a different feel from the rest of the albums, Jerry’s contributions make it seem like he’s very paranoid. Would recommend for people who like the sounds of synths grating against their ears and computerized guitars.

Guys I MIGHT like DEVO :3

Just gonna say there’s a lot of references to Lemon Demon in here, I copied this from a post somewhere else where lemon demon fans are in abundance.
