Randomly came back onto spacehey only to see people blaming children for being groomed. These claims completely disregard the reality that children of this age cannot consent or genuinely grasp the risks of their actions. A child could be begging to be groomed and it's still the adult's responsibility to say no. This should be common sense, but I guess we have lost the plot. Anyone who thinks that a child (a child being someone under 18) can be blamed for their own abuse, is unfortunately thinking like a pedophile and in defense of a pedophile. So, why so urgent to defend and shift the blame from pedos?? Soooo weird. Instead of focusing on what the child was doing or wearing, you should probably wonder why ANYONE would ever find a child sexually attractive in the first place. Additionally, if you want victims to come out and pedos to be exposed, don't shun victims idiots.

i only saw one post abt blaming kids for getting groomed and it was so obvious that it was ragebait lol but i do think it's HORRIBLE to blame a child for being groomed but also i think if ur a minor using the internet u have to be very very VERY careful abt who u talk to
yes you def have to be careful about who you talk to unfortunately. i just wish there was more focus on who the kid was talking to rather than the kid themself

Now that I think about it, the victim blaming of sexually abused children is likely subconsciously driven by misogyny due to how gendered the crimes sexual assault and rape are.
