griffith as a favorite character (berserk)

pretty much everyone who knows about berserk or has read it has some really strong opinions on the story itself, and more specifically, griffith ... i think the reason i'm making this post is because he is my favorite character, but whenever i say this people automatically think i'm one of those griffith defenders that constantly make r@pe jokes about casca or just distasteful stuff in general

i truly do understand the griffith hate, as i really dislike his actions myself, but that doesn't mean i can't appreciate how well written his character is and for that reason he is my favorite character within the whole series

i just don't understand why people don't bother to ask me why i like him and instead assume that i'm one of the weirder fans .. which is a lot of the berserk community if i'm being honest

idk, i'm just making this post because i really want to tell people that griffith is my favorite character from berserk but i don't wanna seem weird about it, because people always seem to think that i am weird for having him as my favorite character. is it really that odd that i enjoy a well written character? it's not like i'm defending his actions or making the weird jokes like the other fans do TT... i just wish people would let me explain myself before calling me a bunch of weird things for enjoying a character((
