A sticky situation!! Haha (I’m dead inside)

Just now at work a customer dropped root beer and it exploded all over their hands and they brought it to the receiving area doorway and legit looked like they were about to cry and was like "do you have a sink back there 🥺" and I was like "uhh uh" and like… we have rags but their hands would've been sticky, and our paper towels aren't absorbent at all, and neither are the rags really, and I didn't want to make them walk across the store to the bathroom, and while I'm thinking all of this the root beer just kept spilling out and I was like "d..do you wanna just come back here and wash your hands" and they were like Tysm oomg and then later to my manager B I was like "oof I hope they don't look at the cameras today bc I def just let that person back here to wash their hands" and B was like "yeahhh I was gonna say you shouldn't have done that 😬" like okay wait a min now. I was not about to be absolutely ridiculous and hand this poor person shitty ass garbage trifold paper towels thru the doorway especially with the pleading look they were giving me and I was DEF not about to have them walk across the store dripping root beer to the bathroom. My brain was screaming at me “just do the right thing.” We’re a small store and the receiving area is small and if I thought there would be any kind of safety or theft issue I wouldn’t have let the customer back to use the sink. I really don’t think it was an issue. But B was butthurt about it. Stupid
