Hiii!!! Just gonna chat into the void :)
The Fourth of July was nice this year. We celebrated small this year, just my parents, my sister and our boyfriends. We took our chairs out into the front yard and watched the fireworks that the neighbors set off. It was nice! Fuss-Free!!! I don't like barbecue, so it was nice to not be pressure to try it or questioned like I'm crazy for disliking it. I'm more of a chicken person anyways. I actually wish I could like red meat! ANYWAY-- Here's some pictures I took!
I like them! Don't track me down or anything. Taken on my Iphone camera LOL!
I've been reading a lot more recently. Actual paperback books! I feel like a kid again sometimes, nosed in a book for hours forgetting to feel the time pass. I made a damn Goodreads account. I'm honestly surprised I've never made one before. I hope to read some more soon. Or consistently. I've been learning HTML and CSS to hopefully one day make my own Neocities site. I've done basic courses on both, I just need practice! My brain is fried for tonight though, and I'll be busy this weekend. I'll be going to my friend Axel's house!!!
Not to dump my bullshit on the blogs (what else are they for?), but it's been a while since I've hung out with a friend! I had a big incident a few years ago that left me worse-for-wear in terms of friends and I've been a bit lonely in recent times. But Axel has been a loyal, real friend throughout my entire wizard's journey of semi-isolation and he even introduced me to some new people. He's a genuine guy and I'd consider him my brother. I'm excited to see him!
This sleepover will be a fun send-off to my new job! I finally was able to secure something. It's a typical office job, a 9-5 gig that will be easier than the food service I've been accustomed to these past few years. I can be a service-robot for money pretty easily, but I won't say it's not grating on the soul. I don't imagine window sales will be much less grating, but at least I'll be able to sit on my ass! I'm just grateful to have an income again. I start in a few days, and I'll spend the time between then and now nerding out with my friend. I think I'll make him watch the second season of Interview with the Vampire.
Anyone wanting to chat or be friends, I don't bite strangers! My IMs are open :)
