Social Anxiety. 7/5/2024

Social anxiety sucks. it started with big crowds and how they made me uncomfortable. then it turned into small crowds, and then going to the store, and now it's narrowed down to simple social interaction and asking for help.

For example, today I had gone to Walmart (against my will) with my dad, to get some dog food and groceries. you know, the usual. and as we went to find a self checkout, we found one, but someone had left their stuff at the register. And with just my luck, he had me go find someone to help us move everything (as if we couldn't do it ourselves) and I literally burst into tears at the thought of asking someone to move something for me. it was HUMILIATING. Of course I felt bad going up to an employee in absolute tears just to ask for help, and of course it was super embarrassing. and to make matters worse, the guy who left his stuff there, was at the register talking to my dad about how he went to go find another item, and I saw his cart. it was FULL. and he had left a good baskets worth of items on the floor. 

Well, anyways, that's just one instance on how my social anxiety has affected me in public and I'm sure I have PLENTY more story's lolz. see you in the next blog entry ig xp
