The tally hall fandom is getting worse.

Look, most Tally Hall fans are not that bad. But the fandom is now turning into a really bad thing, and I really mean it. Since the Joe Hawley doc the fandom started being really toxic in some way. Of course, Joe's accusations are nothing light. But now there are a lot of fans who complain about any content related to Joe. Furthermore, after this a lot of fans also began to arrive beforehand to sexualize him in many ways, fetishizing his accusations. I've met a few people who do that, and they're not a small group. Many people went to bother Joe about this on his social media, practically harassing him. Also, about a month or two ago Joe was accused of offering supposed dr*gs to a minor at a concert, which turned out to be false since it were not dr*gs. It's horrible how this fandom is starting to just be a bunch of controversies (which, by the way, aren't just about Joe).

Now, speaking of other controversies, thanks to the situation in Palestine and Israel, a lot of accusations have emerged. As is already known, Rob, Andrew and Ross are Jews. So from this a lot of accusations started coming out that Andrew and Ross are Zionists. All this apparently because Andrew and Ross had liked a post about it. I admit that I don't know much about this situation, but I know that the fandom is taking this in two directions. There are the fans who completely agree with the accusations and blame Ross and Andrew for being Zionists. And the fans who are blinded by fanaticism and prefer not to talk about anything about this. Which are both very extreme decisions. So it tells us how badly the fandom is declining. I could go on talking about other stupid controversies that have been caused by the fandom, but they are either very stupid or very long.

On the other hand, it is known that the majority of the fandom is against Tally shippers. But those that do are real Tally shippers who go overboard. Most of these sexualize the members in a disgusting way. Most of these s3xualize them in an unhealthy way. For example, on AO3 you can find normal fanfics about the members of Tally Hall where nothing inappropriate is done. But most of the fanfics you come across are totally disgusting. It's not just fanfics about them having s3x, it's them practically r4ping eachother and other nefarious things. Not only are fanfics where they ship members, there are self-inserted fanfics where some member practically abuses you. It is totally disgusting. There is a fanfic where Zubin abuses you when he is your stepbrother and you are like 10 years old. It is literally a fanfic that includes p3dophilia, incest and r4ping. It's horrible what they do. The worst thing is that all the people who read these fanfics enjoy this and don't seem to have any problems.

And finally, the people who sexualize the members. I think this is the worst thing they can do. I already talked about the people who s3xualize Joe, but the truth is that those who s3xualize the other members could be even worse. The majority of people who sexualize the Tally Hall members are minors. These people don't just think that the members are handsome or something. These people can be very disgusting in every way. They would like to be r4ped and abused in a non-ironical way, but if you mess with them their defense is "it's just a joke." I met a Rob Cantor fan who wasn't simply hyperfixated, he was literally obsessed with Rob. He was my boyfriend for some time and one time while we were talking he explicitly told me "imagine r4ping Rob's corpse." It really seems disgusting to me how all this is happening in the fandom and how we are declining little by little.

If you are a Tally Hall fan and you read this, don't think that I want you to leave the fandom. I just want everyone to know that the fandom is going from bad to worse. Please, if something happens with any member, do not interact with them. Try reporting the disgusting fanfics on AO3. And most importantly, try to maintain a healthy environment for EVERYONE. Since the majority are minors. I really hope the best for the fandom and that everything improves. Remember that you can separate the music from the artist, as long as it is done correctly and not in an irresponsible and ignorant way.
