SO, fun fact about me, I live in the most wonderfulΒ state of TENNESSEE:DΒ
And another fun fact about me is that Im very alternative. I have the piercings and the pink hair and I dress in all black and pink and all that good stuff.
Now, theres some good and bad things about being alternative in the south, and I want to complain soooo.Β
The bad thing about being at in the south is that you get stared at alot. Like the other day I was in the car with my grandma and we were driving to my boyfriend's house and I happen to look over at a little girl staring very hard at my pink hair and dark makeup. So, like a normal person would, I smile at her. And when I tell you she gave me the dirtiest look I have ever seen.Β
Another bad thing is that if you were like me and went to public school there's alot of hick kids staring at you like you had came into school wearing a goddamn clown suit. When in reality you just have blue hair.Β
And oh my god the amount of comments I get on my piercings. I get told that I dont "need all that metal in my face" and they start to wonder how I'm gonna get jobs and shitΒ
And the worst is how my family reacts to it. Now, my dad and step mom don't say too much about it, just how my hair is gonna fall out from how much I dye it. But my mom is real bad about it. Any time someone mentions my hair she says "yeah it's cute but I just miss her red hair" (I'm a redhead). Or she talks about how long my eyelashes are. Or how she wishes I looked like how I did at her wedding (I worse a yellow sun dress and I had my curly ass red hair cut into a pixie cut and I had no piercings). Which, would be fine, if she didn't so it all the time. Okay that's a little dramatic but it's alot. Now, she does say I look cute. But, I know she wishes I looked "normal"
Okay, not everything is bad though. I get complimented alot in public by pretty girls and alot of older people like to tell me about their alternative grandchildren. And there was this one time this guy made fun of me in a store and I didn't hear him but this very nice gentlemen did. The guy ended up coming up to me and told me not to listen to the dickhead because he's just jealous.Β
I would say more but this is already long enough and I'm tired. Goodnight yallΒ

I feel that. oldheads see me, a guy with long hair, in the south and stare at me like im in the zoo or something lmao. I try not to worry about it because I feel good about how I look and I love my style it's just annoying more than anything
update: its been a couple of months and now my hair is bright blue and i dress darker as ever. I love when the hicks stare at me its so silly

EXACRLY i will say sometimes when the older people stare at me they'll say something like "my granddaughter dresses like you" or "i use to dress like you in the 80s".
I will say i get the MOST hate from people my age. The amount of times ive been barked at in public is insane. There was this one time i was dressed up and this guy and girl kept looking at me in the store and laughing and then a middle aged gentlemen came up to me and was like "dpnt listen to them they're just jealous" and i asked what he was talking about and he explained that the guy had called me weird. He was very nice and i still thank that man for trying to stick up for me

aye at least theres some good in the world still lmao. if i was you i would bark back at those b!tches or call them out very loudly so people know how weird they are because the REAL WEIRD MFS are the ones going out of their way to harass peeps

there was this one time that i had went to the fair with my friend and there were these basc looking group of guys that passed me and began barking after looking like that they had just seen a ghost. I WAS SHOOK TBH. But like? im the weird one right? ANd that same week when I went back to the fair a guy asked to take a picture with me (a 17 year old) and my cousin (who was 16). My cousin got behind me so i could sheild her from this creep and i was like "no... thats very innapropriate"
People are very fucking weird and creepy
