Foretold many stories
As humans say are grave
To be filled full of glory
And have it taken away
In the end not much is left
But something it shall be
To make a mark of great heft
And to be displayed for all to see
The soft dull white
Shining in the night
The sad unknown truth
Of the end of a sleuth
The chatter and clack
Of a hyena snack
The pity of it all
To see how they've falled
While they have crossed a sea
A storm of great fear
They can rest in peace
As their life was mere
Like all other they shall sink
And join the larva and worms
While they leave it to save a link
It's something a man learns
No matter how you try
No matter what shall happen
In the earth your corpse will lie
And your bones remained fastened
A true fear one might feel
When it's brought to light
A man must not reel
With the memories of life
We all end in the ground
With the bugs and other things
So now you have found
That death has no scary ring
Now close your eyes
Theres no need to cry
Join your friends
In the end
Your body will die
But never fade
The dead man's lie
Is a fake rage
Your soul will sleep.
Your body will rot
But your bones will keep
And your life will not
Rest assured we will remember
You will go out like a fading ember
