Thoughts on my Florida vacation

I got home from my vacation/school trip this evening! Although it was a great trip, it is also a good feeling to be back home in my own bed.

Shockingly the trip to Universal was probably my least favorite part, it was way too crowded with basically everybody from the convention PLUS the usual park guests there. On top of that, the rides I went on were pretty lame (apart from the Mummy ride but it had way too long of a queue) and the one true roller coaster I did want to get on ended up getting rained out right as the park was about to close, and also right as my group was nearly at the end of the queue. The swing ride at the park right outside our hotel was a 10x better experience than anything at Universal, and we didn't have to wait an hour to get in.

All of the food places we went to were really good, and especially considering I am more of an introvert, I liked the beach visit a lot more than I expected. Floating with the waves let me reach a sort of zen state. The actual convention was okay and part of the gimmick was you had state pins you could trade with others, and that was actually pretty fun although there were a few snobby people who refused to trade for any of my (numerous) West Virginia pins.

Just before the end of the trip, we went to Dave & Buster's (arcade+restaurant) and after wasting nearly all of the trip-supplied 250 credits on pointless luck games, I ended up finding a Pop the Lock machine that pretty much guaranteed at least 80-250 tokens per play, which let me rack up a fair amount of tokens to spend at the gift shop. I ended up buying a big otter plush for my girlfriend, and a kazoo to annoy everybody else on my trip.

I didn't make any new friends from this trip, but being able to see some of my schoolmates again after school let out for summer break was a nice bonus, and since none of my usual friends were attending I had the opportunity to spend time with some people I would usually never talk to past simple chit chat.

Apologies if this blog post isn't very chronological or straight-forward, I originally intended it to be a bulletin post but I ended up writing a lot more than I expected so I turned it into a proper blog post.

I went to Universal Studios and Disney World once in Florida but it was like 10 years ago so I barely remember it

I have the same deal with Disney!! I just remember being like seven and it rained a bunch on half the days we were there, otherwise it was pretty fun and my mom has always wanted to go there again now that I am older.

I definitely wanna go there again! It'd be reliving a precious childhood memory
