Complete Freedom

. July 3rd, 2024 .

I believe humans were never meant to be stationary; our souls are designed to weave and flow through life, perpetually moving onward. Even when we don't want to. While routine soothes us, I think true joy can be found in the sporadic freedom of running through a field of flowers while it rains on our backs. Perhaps our complexity is both our greatest strength and our deepest conundrum.

I yearn to be free from the chains of the current world. To leave the world behind in favor of the unpredictable wilderness is a goal only in my dreams. I am a mere body steered by a mind far too complex for my own good.

Lately, I’ve been escaping town to find a secluded field, away from cars, lights, and daily routines. There I sit for hours, feeling the wind through my hair and watching the ants labor tirelessly in the grass. Sometimes, I wonder if they ever consider running away. Where would they go? Would they go to the city and replace us?

When I touch trees, feeling the grooves of their leaves and the rigidity of their bark, I feel connected to an energy that is unconditionally tender. Suddenly I understand that there is a language I cannot decipher but feel intimately connected to. What has the tree been through? Has it once been a home to someone lost like me?

What we have encountered as suffering, the only monsters in this reality, are the monsters made by human greed. Greed to abandon all that once was and will be, the suffering plaguing the current and future generations has originated from abandoning the source. Destroying silence, annihilating the wildlife, and placing artificial nonsense to place up further away from gaining true sentience. Humanity was born to reach the vast plains, but the plastic in the veins has tainted any sense of nature within humans.

I've found my space within nature, within the raw womb of the world. The current lifestyle of the modern man is something my body and psyche are allergic to, that many others are slowly dying of. Poisoning of the soul, but they make it feel accepted and fun, re-wire the human brain like training animals at the circus, that's what it's come down to. Animals with machines.
