everyone has their own thing but for me personally as goth male I like to retain a more masculine dress up and thrifting you cant always find things tailored to you so here's some things I look for :D

.work button ups, usually these are worn by car mechanics and usually come in blue but they're rlly nice and have squared off shoulders just dye them black 

.vest, most vest you find wont fit you so I recommend learning to sew as its a valuable skill in alt culture but vest can be layered and you can find some with amazing designs

.work shoes/dressy shoes these are really common in thrifts and can really tie your outfit together ofc there's also no going wrong with some assault boots or tactical platforms

.denim/leather jackets both of these are equally good and you can make battle jackets

.band tees while sometimes hard to find if you live in an area with no alt people these are also a great idea

.dress pants, i said it once I'll say it again fancy dress up stuff is the most common in thrift stores so go for ittt
