with the summer holidays fast approaching, i need to plan what to do...
i am lucky enough to be going on a family holiday abroad where i can meet up with an old friend of mine and the two of us are going to a club for the ( or at least my) first time. would love some advice and how to do this???
planning to take a film camera and take lots of pictures as well as explore the town we are in!!
then i'm planning to complete some courses so i can teach sailing next summer (i am seth cohen) when i've left school but i need to book them. i've been saving up the money from my job and have now reached my goal!!
i want to get the most out of summer since it's my last before i'm 18 (legit terrified)...any suggestions?
hoping to do lots of reading but i'd like to go out too etc.
hope you're all having a great day ⋆。°✩

Why are you terrified of becoming 18?
Idk how to explain it but I’m worried about changing and things around me changing too
And like I have to leave home etc. and I can’t be a weird teenage girl for much longer. I have to be a weird adult which isn’t nearly as inviting of a concept
And I’ll be older than all the characters I relate to
It’s just a big milestone that I’m not super excited about.
Plus I don’t drink alcohol and that’s basically the only benefit of being 18 in the uk
(Other than voting but is that really a benefit with current politics??)
To quote Allison Reynolds (the breakfast club) “when you grow up, your heart dies”
Which I know isn’t literally true
But it’s more what that represents to me, you know?

Most people don't really change as a person when they become 18. All that comes much later when they have to take responsibility while they start their own family.
I deffinetly get what you mean with that qoute, but no one really expects you to change. You don't live in the USA where it is almost a given that you have to leave your home ones you become 18. So until you're ready to leave home, you can just stay as you are and make the best out of everything

Thanks you!
Well I hope so
I do have plans to leave home next summer and it’s more like I’m just scared for that but it’s the right thing to do to get out into the world you know?
I know I won’t really change overnight
It just starts to feel real

I do get what you mean, though I don't know if you should do it so soon. I think it's too early at the age 18 to leave home and live on your own. But that is just my opinion, I just don't think anyone is ready at that age yet

Tbf I’m not permanently leaving
I have plans to leave for the summer and a bit more and then return at Christmas
So I think that’s ok cause you like get a taste but there’s still that level of security there

If that is the case then I think you should be fine
