Hey SpaceSleepers (23): Ghosts in My Shower

I was recently thinking about ghosts as that has been a fear of mine since I was a child, specifically that when I take a shower, that one will come through my bathroom door and slice my neck off while I am washing the soap out of my hair. I believe it began when I was a small child, when I had watched a ghost television show that I do not remember the name of, the image of a ghost flying through doors with malintent, still pushing through in my mind. The idea of something that cannot be stopped that could harm me when I am at my most vulnerable, an idea that is often parodied from slasher films.

Obviously, I know that it is not logical to think about, that if there is a possibility of a ghost doing such, then why would it choose my apartment in my building so full of identical ones. I know that if there is a possibility of ghosts existing, that there is an equally possible chance that no ghosts exist, as they have equal amounts of known evidence to me. However, I fear that is the problem with superstitions and irrational fears, that they can be unsubstantiated yet so deeply haunting. I don’t truly believe that a ghost will kill me in the shower, neither do I believe a burglar would, but the deep seeded fear still remains and pops into my head whenever I try to shower, and so is the image of my headless body bleeding out on the floor of my bathtub.
