Mortal yearning (a poem i wrote)

You remain dead for an eternity

But your only alive for a brief moment

Such Is the cause of mortality. 

Like a line in an old forgotten song

Sometimes I feel like I'm just an oddment

Hanging around here I don't belong. 

I'm just existing not really living

This whole society is abhorrent

Wish I knew why my heart was yearning.
