CAN WE START NORMALIZING LETTERS EMOJIS?

I LOVE USING EMOTES LIKE XD OR XP, BUT EVERYONE IN MY SURROUNDINGS THINKS IT'S CRINGE. I WANT TO KNOW PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT HAVE PROBLEMS WRITING SUCH EMOJIS.

I thought emoticons were already normalized? People still use smiley faces like that all the time.
