Harley and Katya

So I recently rewatched this documentary made about Harley and Katya's story with how they became figure skaters and all that shit right? (for a bit of backstory they were figure skating partners and were fairly succesfull but Katya struggled with alchoholism and drug issues leading to health issues. she was told she couldn't skate anymore and the depression she fell into led her to commit suicide.) Well I was thinking a lot about how when they interviewed one of the big shots from the OWIA he said something along the lines of, "figure skaters have to want to want help we can't do anything unless they report it" and I remember being utterly shocked. Katya had a drug and alcohol problem before the point she was even 18 as well as the language and culture shock she had being in Australia of course she didn't say anything. To her it wasn't that bad because she could still skate. I was really thinking about it because in 2 years Harley and his new partner Maria I think is her name, will be competing in the 2026 Olympics and I imagine some reporter will be insensitive and say something about Katya. Anyway its just kind of fucked up like to hear some head of the OWIA essentially say there wasn't much he could've done to prevent Katya's death. I don't know if you have thoughts lemme hear them Im very open :)
