Report Blog Entry
So my cousin was being nosey and asked what I was doing. I told him I was blogging about my coffee, and to that he responded "How about you blog about getting banned from YouTube" (or whatever he said I don't remember; take my quotes with a grain of salt.) anyways, I thought that was a brilliant idea so here we are.
Around this time, maybe 2 years ago (my freshman year of high school was ending), I got banned from YouTube. YouTube claims I posted nudity and sexual content but that is simply not true at all. I know this because I was banned immediately after getting my new ringtone; the one I got by copying and pasting a YouTube link into a file downloader. I know, stupid of me to do that while signed in, but I wasn't thinking okay. I really didn't think it would be that big of a deal!
After I installed my new ringtone, I went back to watch something on YouTube. I don't remember what, it really doesn't matter. All I know is that YouTube was NOT working so I did what any smart person would do after opening and closing the app one hundred times, rebooting my phone, checking for updates, deleting and reinstalling the apps, and I factory reset my phone :D yaayy!
When that didn't work, I knew I was cooked. not only did I learn I was banned from YouTube, but I also NO LONGER HAD THE RINGTONE!
Luckily, I can still watch YouTube videos as a guest but I often reeaaalllyyy miss all the other features that came with having an account like subscribing to channels, making playlists, liking videos, and CONTINUING WHERE I LEFT OFF FROM ANOTHER DEVICE </3
This especially sucks because I like to make videos and no longer have a simple mainstream platform to post them to. :(
that's okay tho because it's motivating me to start building a brand or whatever and practice web building cus i can't ban myself >:3
even if it's low-key stressful for me and a new weight on my chest atm but it'll go away eventually :D
before anyone says to just make a new account, I did. Sometime between New Years and now, I was updating my Google information and let YouTube put two and two together. That account immediately got banned for convection :)

Psst! I reccomend you to use something like NewPipe (or PipePipe,i personally like this one a lot more because it has a lot more bug fixes but it is the same app.)
You can make playlists and other,and better things,as well as downloading as audio or video. You can also use Invidious on PC,but i have not explored that one if it has playlisting features since i couldnt sign in on the host websites for this one.
You can't comment on neither of these apps; but you can load comments with NewPipe and PipePipe!
For Invidious I recommend using the yewtu.be domain one,the other ones have strange recommendations when i last recently checked (political content and unrelated content,etc.)
Also,another neat feature on the mobile apps i mentioned,pasting your YT link on the search bar gives you the exact same video and your searches will be more relevant compared to YouTube as well.
