Recently, I watched the film "The Ice Road" (2021) and was enjoying it until a scene where the ice breaks and the characters discuss how the weight distribution caused one of the truck's back wheels to sink. This didn't make sense to me. If the trucks were heavy enough to break through the ice, why did only the back wheels sink? And why did it only happen to one truck? Of course you could argue that one specific point in the ice was weaker than the rest, but the lack of explanation felt strange and took me out of the story.

This is a common issue I have with many films. While I can suspend disbelief for supernatural or mythical elements, breaking the laws of physics without explanation ruins the immersion for me. I don't mind if things are explained well, even if unrealistic, but most films simply brush it off with a "that's just how it is" attitude. Alternatively, they introduce a made-up object or creature with the ability to bend or break the laws of physics, solely for the purpose of explaining away the scientific inaccuracies.

I understand this may just be a personal gripe, but it's something that consistently bothers me in many films.
