japanese is such a hard language ughhh

5 years studying AND IM STILL ONLY N5.

I mean I DID start by learning no katakana/hiragana/kana and instead going straight into grammar. then just kept studying whilst barely knowing the alphabet AND I only used Duolingo as my studying method (im cooked). but this year I've changed!! I know hiragana nd most of katakana (I get tripped up sometimes). I know some kanji?. Ive decided to wait a lil before learning kanji.  im scaredddd. but I can introduce myself

but like thats all basic stuff. i did figure out how to day あなたの名前はなんですか？the other day though. i already knew the words, kanji and particles i just always mixed up の and は. i never knew whether the possesive particle or topic marker would come first BTU NOW I DO. i havent studied in like a week i shoild really get on that
