console design has become BORING

Just look at the OG Xbox

 LOOK AT IT 

the X shape emblazoned across the top, the confident green circle, the name of the system embedded into, not one, but TWO places 

the controller too, it's so big and loud and confident (perhaps a bit too confident), the subtle X molded into the plastic, and the name and logo placed front & center upon its face  

BEAUTIFUL  

Now, for the Xbox 360  

Look at the subtle X shape that is carved into the console on, not one, but TWO axis, the name that's so confidently placed upon its face, the LEDs that stir to life in an alien shade of green 

And the controller, with its spherical logo that pops visually and those neon-colored buttons that make themselves obvious to anyone who sees it 

This thing is proud to be an Xbox, no doubt  

PERFECTION    

Now for the Xbox Series X 

black box 

That's it, just a black box 

The controller's worse: it looks like a generic video game controller you'd see in any random TV show or movie 

Each has a logo on it, but not even a name is on the console 

At the very least, it has a more interesting shape than the Xbox One, being more like a rectangular prism

BORING

Things look so much more boring now 

Minimalism is so fucking boring  

Bring back good design
