Dead By Daylight

i think it's kind of crazy that DBD is such a successful game while most of the playerbase doesn't even know the lore behind everything beyond basics. like they didn't need to put so much effort into all this lore behind things (and they didn't for the first like.. 3.5 years of existence. i think. the first tome didn't come out until oct. 2019.) but they did and now i can just read about all of this awesome worldbuilding knowing that it most definitely won't effect how i play the game itself but definitely how i perceive it when i play. like the entity's connection to the basement or the description within items and add-on's and everything. especially with the current event and how it's like a character who is more in touch with the metaphysical and with that ability has some level of capability to counter the entity's power (the entity's weakness is those who are in touch with conscience and stuff) but she's just like.. so in love with her that she instead uses her ability to celebrate it's birthday every  year.  like wow. lesbians saved the entity's realm
