I'm planning on studying chemistry in a local school and stuff and then getting a masters or PhD (or both if my grades are shit) and I'm really not sure if it's worth it. like, sure, I'd be able to call myself Dr. Ricky which has been a dream of mine since I was 12, but is it really all that special? Am I really smart enough? I easily get 90s in my highschool chemistry class and I love the material but am I truly that smart?
is a PhD really that special.

I'd say it's worth it! Especially since that has been your dream since 12! I also think you're smart if you're getting those good grades. If you're hesitant just go to school anyway and do general courses until you're sure of what to do so that you won't risk throwing away the opportunity ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
