On the "Browse" row, you can view random online users, or people that recently joined Spacehey. I myself notice that I get random friend requests when I'm online, but if I disappear for a month, there won't be any new friend requests when I return. I assume then that some people hang out on the "Browse" page strictly adding random users that are online. That, or they liked your profile pic.
Hmm, now all of this makes sense. Still weird but I like the system.
