[emo history] Ten Boy Summer

hi ! recently came across a band called 'Ten Boy Summer'. they were a 1993 project of davey von bohlen who played in prominent emo/punk acts like cap'n jazz, the promise ring, vermont and maritime.

in the comments of this version of the demo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=969QUFXmIBk) pete prodoehl (bass player of tbs) commented about a band of davey's before this called leaving. not much is known about them, except that ten boy summer is likely an expansion on whatever davey was working on in leaving. it makes me wonder how many bands and how much music we've lost to time and them not having the technology to archive it
