another gig for the books

This past Friday June 21, I filled in on guitar once again for my friend's band Evolution. What made this gig extra cool was the addition of drummer James Bruno! He's such a solid drummer, and when we play together, it's very tight! As a guitarist, I need that.

Most guitarists listen to only themselves.

The gig was at Westside Tavern in Ridgefield Park, and while the crowd was SUPER thin (12 people, no joke), they truly enjoyed it. And I did too! Singer Eve Lina and bassist Lou Altonjy kept saying all night "Thanks to Jim and Steve for pitching in" and "They are true pros." 

Always nice to know that!

The set list was all over the place but we made it cohesive. Did songs by artists like The Ramones, AC/DC, Weezer, Cranberries (you can guess which song!), Harry Styles (I had fun jamming to "Watermelon Sugar"...go figure!) and others.

After the show was over, we received nice praise and free pizza :)
