welcome to the first instalment of monthly favourites

this was originally a list of my favourite products i purchased, but i realized that’s actually really stupid and not worth the time. so this is a list of my favourite things this month, ALL of the things  

1. dior forever skin correct concealer 

OH MY GOD. YUM. YUM YUM YUM. this is a constant favourite. until i find something better, but i doubt that’ll happen. i literally don’t even wear foundation anymore. moisturizer (we’ll get to that soon), this concealer, blush, contour, and powder is so unbelievably good and doesn’t make my sahara-desert-ass skin go crazy. is it worth the $54 CAD??? it shouldn’t be. but i’m sad to say it is

2. cosrx hyaluronic intensive cream

like i mentioned before, my skin gets so dry it hurts. my face is constantly itchy if i don’t apply 1000 moisturizing steps. but ever since i found this, its all i’ve been using. before, i would use 2 toners, a hyaluronic acid serum, and then a moisturizer, and even that was too little. but ever since i bought this, its all i’ve needed. it’s a thick texture, but somehow not heavy. it sits well under makeup too, which is hard to come by. i’ve shortened my routine with this. sometimes i throw in a toner if i want something extra (laniege cream skin usually) but its pretty much perfect. i bought it at a place in my local mall that sells a lot of asian beauty products. i dont remember how much it was exactly, but i would pay anything as long as i can use this. 

3. mario badescu facial spray 

i’ve seen nothing but hate for this product and i struggle to understand why. i think it’s actually really nice! i haven’t had any serious breakouts, and its nice to have on the go. i use a lot of powder and a very mattifying setting spray for my makeup, and sometimes it’s a lot for my skin and can look cakey. i usually just generously spray my face with this as a finishing spray and it hydrates without messing with the matte finish. i also use it when im out and need to refresh my makeup. i use the lavender one, but im sure the others do the same. there’s not much of a difference i believe

4. gucci flora gorgeous magnolia

for christmas, my mom got me the mini set of all 3 in the flora collection. i usually HATE florals (with the acception of funeral home by demeter..) and wasn’t sure i’d wear them. this was lowkey a goldilocks situation.. jasmine was too fresh, gardenia was too sweet.. but magnolia was a perfect blend of the two. i love a floral paired with a berry, it’s easy to layer and fun to play around with. i like to pair a vanilla/coconut-ish lotion with it  

5. jane doe - converge 

converge, along with the locust and the dillinger escape plan, were bands i discovered in elementary school thanks to the youtube recommended section. i fell out of love with them as i started getting more into bands like the used, thursday, taking back sunday, and, of course.. my one true love, my chemical romance. i love all sorts of music and i thank youtube for that. anyways, i’ve been really obsessed with jane doe. ben koller is one of my favourite drummers and its just so satisfying to hear him play. i’ve been doing some window shopping on deathwish reviews, so maybe a haul coming soon…….

6. frank iero. duh

frank is like the dior concealer of music for me. enough said. i love him dearly. also i met him once and i think about how unbelievably awkward it was everyday as i try to go to sleep. 

7. mac squirt gloss

luvvv the product, absolutely hate the name. SQUIRT. LIKE WHY. anyways, the shade jet (the black one) is so amazing. i love cool toned products, but lip shades are so hard to find. i just apply with over everything and it immediately adds that moody grey hue i love so much. i also own the shade amped (hot pink) and it’s just as good. im not a huge pink lip combo girly, browns/reds have my heart, but my mom loves it, and that’s how you know its a good product. i love u mom

8. x-men 97

 i am SO late. but i love x-men. i have actually never touched anything related to x-men before, but my brother told me to watch 97, and i decided to watch the original animated series first. oh my god, i love them. i dont know why ive been such a hater all these years

9. just you - angelo badalalementi, david lynch 

listen to it. just do it. you’ll understand

10. kitchen aid ice cream attachment 

i’m lactose intolerant and also refuse to waste calories on sweets, but that’s not stopping me. best early birthday gift ever. so far i’ve made vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, and also just poured a can of diet coke in just to see what would happen (worlds worst slushie)

11. ag care fast food leave in conditioner 

i have like extremely dry hair that is ALSO bleached. personally i don’t think leave in conditioners are ever that special, but i love this one. i only use a little bit, and it makes my hair so soft and shiny. i just apply it right out of the shower while my hairs damp. i can’t describe the smell, its like a sweet carrot and also with a hint of matcha. dont know, dont really care because it fades away right after my hair dries. it just feels nice! i also pair it with the mousse gel and it works alright. i might switch to the liquid effects gel, im still deciding. i’m not too big on the mousse. #curlygirl or whatever 

12. last but not least… victoria’s secret t-shirt bras

my GOD these are good. not only do my girls look fantastic, but they’re comfy as hell. i have been anti-bra for like 2 years because i have terrible sensory issues and would rather die. but unfortunately im out of my phase of baggy shirts and sweatpants everyday and im not a big fan of having the girls poke out through my baby tees. i dont show that for free..

ANYWAYS i hope you enjoyed my rambles. i want to do this like once a month-ish because i talk a lot.
