The Three Nymphs

In Greek mythology "The Garden of the Hesperides" was a garden guarded by three nymphs, which were the Hesperides, daughters of the titan Atlas, which is recognized for being the entity that holds the Celestial Vault. These nymphs represented the evening and the west, and they are known for their role as the caretakers of the garden and the apple tree of the goddess Hera, popular for sprouting the golden apples that made immortality possible.

The Great Garden of Hera

The Garden of the Hesperides is a garden where most of the time it is considered as a wonderful orchard, located in the Atlas Mountains (northwest of Africa). It is said that here were located the best springs where it was also located in the great apple tree that gave the popular golden apples that thanks to these could give you immortality. Hera obtained this beautiful apple tree through Gaia, who gave her an apple tree seed for marrying her son Zeus. The Hesperides were given the main task of taking care of the garden, but Hera could not count on them one hundred percent, because they consumed the fruits of the grove of their own free will. Hera, seeing this, had to add a hundred-headed dragon, baptized under the name of Ladon, becoming an additional caretaker. There is some controversy as to whether the garden was of apple trees or orange trees, etymologically some languages such as Danish, Finnish, Hebrew and Russian use similar root words to describe both fruits, although for southern Europeans oranges are considered unknown until well into the x u xi century according to Muwaffaq al-Dīn Abd al-Laṭīf al-Baghdādī.

The Golden Apples

They are a classic myth in Greek and Nordic beliefs. Some sources tell us that at the wedding of Zeus and Hera, each Olympian god was responsible for delivering a gift each, which highlighted the gift of the earth goddess, Terra or also called Gaia, Hera and Zeus happy with this wonderful gift, decided to plant it in the garden of Hera, which thanks to this they could give the apples to the Olympian gods, thus giving them their immortality.  The Hesperides, for their part, walked through the garden and sang to the tree.
