I've decided, fuck it, here's a list of every game where Shadow is playable

Shadow The Hedgehog made his debut in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001 on the Sega Dreamcast

Sonic Adventure 2 - Wikipedia

This is right on the tail end of the Dreamcast's life, in the last year before Sega went third party. Afterwards, they would port the game to the Gamecube as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and would also port it to Xbox, Playstation and PC. This game and it's prequel debuted the Sonic art style that would be utilized in all future 2D Sonic works, including Sonic X, Sonic Advance, and Sonic Rush. To my knowledge, however, this art style, done by Yuji Uekawa, would be retired at the end of the 2000s, and most 2D Sonic work to have been done since has used the classic versions of the Sonic characters, which excludes Shadow.

I digress though, Sonic Adventure 2 had two different modes, hero mode, with a lineup of characters such as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, and dark mode, which included Shadow, Robotnik, and Rouge the Bat, who also debuted in Sonic Adventure 2

This dark team would appear in future Sonic games, sometimes replacing Robotnik with E-123 Omega instead when necessary.

Speaking of which, Sonic Heroes is the next game Shadow is playable in

the laughingstock of the franchise which only sucked because nobody wanted to see Sonic have a relationship with a human girl named Elise. Also the game was hard as balls. I think Silver and Blaze debuted in this game however, so you win some you lose some. Hey at least Shadow is playable but only sometimes but eh who cares at least hes there.
