yammerin about twd -- comics & show

Spoilers for both the show and the comics !!!!

I'm currently reading TWD comics, I just finished the second compendium yesterday so once I get the third compendium I'll be on issue 98.

I really really like seeing the differences between the show and the comics. It seems that the majority of the events stayed the same, obviously just censored heavily on the show, while the characters had the biggest changes. In all honesty, up to the point where I am now in the comics at least, I really do like the differences of the characters in the show more. I love how they decided to make Carol into one of the strongest characters, I love Daryl, I love Michonne and Rick's dynamic compared to Andrea and Rick in the comics. Also the casting oh my gossshhhhhh. Jon Bernthal was SUCH a good Shane, idc idc idc he played him so well. I LOVE Andrew Lincoln for Rick, even if he doesn't look all that book accurate, I don't know if anyone else could have played him as well as Andrew did. I love Chandler Riggs for Carl, even though sometimes I feel his acting during some seasons weren't the best, I still really loved him as Carl. AND AMC SHOULD FEEL SHAMMMMEEEE EVERY TIME CARL IS BROUGHT UP !!!!!!!!!!!

Again, I haven't read all of the comics yet, but it HAS to be better than the last few seasons of the show. Holy fuck dude, the last seasons sucked ass. Season 8 from my memory was decent, Carl's death left me in shambles, but once I got to season 9 I really did start to lose interest. And then the entire Leah/Daryl side plot in s10 ???? That was so unnecessary and imo made zero sense to Daryl's character. AND THEN SEASON 11 -- LITERAL SHIT FROM A BUTT DUDE SOOOO BADDDDD

Back to the comics though. I actually really, really like the fact that Lori and Judith die at the prison. I feel that compared to the show, once the two of them died the only thing keeping Rick going was Carl. In the show, after Carl died, he still had Judith and Michonne, and then eventually RJ. 

Another thing -- I keep jumping to different stuff but idk I'm just typing as stuff comes to mind -- the way the group in the comics deals with walkers is painful compared to the show. Like they're already almost two years into the turn and they still freak out when theres a walker 60 feet away from them, like bud you're gonna be fine why are we freaking out. At least most of the group in the show can kind of coexist with the walkers, until the walkers get too close then they take them out. 

There's a ton of other stuff I could yap about, I really really love the series, I've rewatched seasons 1-5 countless times. I really can't wait to get the third compendium to keep reading :D
