College trials and tribulations

So many things are happening rahh

as none of you know, I've been in college for a year now that is specifically for home ed kids aged 14+, and thats over next week. I mean, the college was fine I guess? had a really great english and maths teacher, but the place promised that we'd be doing GCSEs and we. are not. so thats fun!! there's also the art teacher but she's an entirely different post tbh (in a bad way).

Anyway, I'm enrolling in a "real" college now, and its been pretty weird. I mean duh since I don't have any qualifications because the home ed college being bad. Funnily enough though, all the teachers I've met and had interviews with want me on a level 3 course which is crazy!!?! I have applied to a LOT of courses trying to find the right one, at first I applied for game design which just had a completely miserable environment AND NO WINDOWS?!?! So that was an immediate no which sucks because I had to do an entire creative task interview for NOTHING!!! Anyway, then I spoke to the head of the art department (the goat honestly) who told me to please not go to game design and instead to level 3 of art and design (fun!!) and had me apply there and then!! After a little bit of struggle, I finally got an interview and was offered a place HOWEVER the man interviewing me said that because I mainly do digital art and had already applied for game design, checking out the game art course may be worth my while! again I was just like "okayyy :3" and that course looked REALLY PERFECT

So now we're here today! I went to the experience day for art and design, and just asked if I could be transferred to game arts with blind confidence. the guy teaching was the same man who interviewed me, so he just took me down the hall to the correct department, and guess what!! IT HAD WINDOWS!!!! BIG W!!! So the man lead me to the game art teacher and told him the basics of "uhh yeah my man here has no qualifications whatsoever but I think they're level 3" and then left

I then had a semi interview with the game arts teacher who turns out to be a RESIDENT EVIL AND SILENT HILL FAN!! AND WAS VERY EXCITED TO SEE RESIDENT FUNKIN CONCEPT ART ON MY PORTFOLIO!!! He also really liked puffin and the comparison of the v2 and v3 models, both in art and animation! I know that doesnt sound like much but my current art teacher has said some very unsavory things about puffin (and all of my characters tbh) that kinda hurt so its nice to have a little bit of validation :DD 

Long story short, we had a long chat, he said to formally apply but not to bother with an interview because we'd basically already done that AND that he too wants me on level 3!! Right now it's just a matter of if the higher ups will let me do it without GCSEs (idk why its different for the 2 courses). They most likely will though so!! yay!! and if they don't, I'll just be on level 2!! which is also awesome!!
