an anime movie im watching (hells 2008)

will update once i finish it, and maybe write a real review 

im watching hells (2008), a fascinating film so far i really like. the style is super stylized and definitely the main thing this film has going for it - the characters are all unique in their designs and they have good color theory. (my fav character design is probably phantoma's because i love phantom of the paradise and her mask is a reference i think)

the plot so far is kinda convoluted and i feel like ive watched about seven different genres of film, from a sports anime like haikyuu to something more akin to paprika. the overall tone is very trippy and its a bit confusing at points. its also decently funny and out of pocket, but also im emotionally invested in these characters (this is difficult to write without spoiling why i feel this way)

its relatively obscure, it has no score on rotten tomatoes or even a wikipedia page. i think after i finish this film, im going to read the manga its based on.
