I really love art and I've expressed multiple times that i wanna be a god damn ARTIST!! but when I tell my parents or a relative whatever they tell me "erm.. you're gonna get nothing outta that cuz it's useless nowadays xP!" BUT I DONT GIVE A SHIT IF I CANT DO ART I'LL DROP DEAD.
they keep getting in my face, my dad is tellin me to be a doctor or something when i grow older and my mum is stressing about the fact that I'm all set on art for highschool uni whatever... I draw literally EVERYDAY and her ass tries to make me stop because in her words "drawing too much is unhealthy..." okay.. (´･_･`) so no art clubs, no artsy things WHATSOEVER NOW.

art is worthless. you'll earn NOTHING from it and it's a stupid career that you'll most likely quit. Grow up, stop trying to study first in art and shit and i dunno, become a doctor/ lawyer/ nurse or something. Why can't you be a normal kid??

I'm really passionate about art and I dont want to lose my interest in it. I've been drawing shitty shits since I was a tod and I haven't gotten bored ever since :(( My parents aren't the type to be into art, that's why I self taught because they saw it as a measly phase that I'd get bored of but i genuinely love it!! I don't know what to tell them, I've told them that I just really like art and that I'm happy doing it even as a job.. or straight up "please stop. I want to be an artist, full stop." but my ma and dad still gnaw about it and i just want to skin myself alive or eat a paintbrush. help

thats something i get a lot as well, from both parents and teachers. but in a way thats the beauty in it, youre not promised money and riches, so its just you and your passion that drives one to make art

It's a fine hobby to have at the same time as a regular job until you can find a job somewhere explicitly doing art.
Art is also culture and is important to the growth and voice of a people.
I daresay, if your parents don't like art, then they would need to dislike music, movies, and even architecture to keep their opinion sane.
I doubt this, though. It's likely your parents are making an attempt to dissuade you from beginning an art career taking commissions and can't properly voice it, as that is a fairly difficult way to break into the art market.

Keep your head down and tell them what they want to know.
It's useful to humor an adversary, especially when they don't want to budge on a topic.
Since this isn't a permanent thing, you can just chill out and do your own thing on your own anyway.
It's normal for kids to have secrets ;3
