🌌 Principles as an artist that are important to me (June 19, 2024)
---------- principles as an artist - - - - - - -
Nonjudgmental
Acceptance Principle:Â
Draw and write like no one is watching is such an
important aspect to drawing. A perceived audience's expectations
sacrifices routes and ideas because you get tied up with on the surface
level problems like anatomy or poses. Your value as an artist doesn't
hinge on that. Never sacrifice your love and passion to an imaginary
audience.Â
Made by me, made for me.Â
If social media bothers you, uninstall. Deactivate. Do not let the audience take you away from your passion. Understand
the trade-off, in order to maintain humility, sincerity and effort to
art, principles I value, I will not be able to gain recognition. It is a
ME oriented project. Which is why art can never be my career or
occupation.
Be Okay with Ditching and Experimenting and Never
Finishing a Project:Â
maybe you just want to get a feel for the
atmosphere of the story or some side projects like animation, never feel
like you have to complete them. Just set out what you want to do, and
if you don't want to continue, it's okay.
