Going Back to Splatoon 2 was a journey!

   So I had some nostalgia for Splatoon 2, my friend and I decided to go back and play some Turf War, so here are some of my thoughts. With Pictures!!!

   To start I missed the OG kit for this weapon, I was excited to see it come back in Splatoon 3 as these were my main in Splat 2. I still dunno how to feel about it being given the Triple Splashdown and they are my second main in Splat 3!  I played a couple Turf Wars with these dualies, and they feel so AMAZING especially since I've been kinda used to the kit from 3 now.

   The Octoling's sass is something I genuinely miss from Splatoon 2, like I could feel my player character getting upset with me that I lost. Now we just have emotes, and while I could also say I miss the defeat screen from 2, I miss the vibes I got from winning with the Octolings sass too. Like that pose, at least to me, makes me feel like she's confident with the Hero Dualies (I will get to the hero weapons in a second) but also not surprised that she won either. I also miss the Hero weapons, I only have the hero charger, shot, and dualies in splat 2 but I regularly go back to the hero mode to try and unlock the rest of the weapons even if I don't purchase them since it takes lost of grinding now to get cash, especially since Salmon Run and Splatfest are out of the questions. I like the ability to replay Splatoon 2's Hero Mode to unlock new weapons.

   These two images are together because while for the most part after the cut between Nintendo, Twitter and Facebook Splatoon 2's lobby doesn't have the life it used to have. Because Posts ceased to exist here. I miss seeing everyone's farewells to this game from 2022 when Splatoon 3 came out. I had only had this game for two years when 3 dropped, but I still had my fun. Side note as I was getting these pictures I went back and completed another line in Octo Expansion and finally unlocked the Neo Octo Boots so I have the full set!

   Pearl and Marina's back and forths, I miss this. I know there is back and forths between the members of Deep Cut but Off The Hook had a special pizzaz. I don't quite know how to explain it. It was like they genuinely had fun with the banter. I just prefer it over Deep Cut's ig. 

   And Finally a comparison between Inkopolis Square in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3 it seems brighter, like new life has been breathed into the area. The Square will always be my home, no matter what game it is if I have access to this overworld I will use it. Seeing Off The Hook off to the side the shopkeeps here, everything is homey.

  This might have been one of my longest blogs I have ever made!!! I just really love these two games! I hope you may have found my perspective interesting.
