I respect ur music tastes, even though I might not like them. It shouldn't matter anyway lol

SO... Ever since... like 3-4 years ago?? there's been this new gen "jumpstyle" surfacing around the internet and getting RLLY popular...
While the music is good, I kinda disagree with ppl calling it "jumpstyle". Sure, u may jump to it, but it's NOTHING like the jumpstyle we know. Let's be honest.
I'm going to take "Hong Kong 97 hardstyler" by Zaydera and "ZHOSTIU HARDSTULE :X" by TURBOSVINOTA672 as an example.
While the songs themselves are good, I wouldn't consider them as jumpstyle, especially not the first one.
97 hardstyler is WAY too slow for jumpstyle or probably any other type of hardstyle. The melody is way too repetitive and bland too. It's just the i love beijing song with a bunch of sound effects. The kicks are also not hard enough for the type of hardstyle it's trying to replicate.
As for ZHOSTIU HARDSTULE, it is faster so that's an improvement, but the whole song is just 3 different types of kicks and 4 sound effects (or 5 idk). It is pretty bland and boring too.
If you compare them to ACTUAL hardstyle, like these 2 examples
i think you can notice the difference. U don't even have to be like an expert or smth to make hardstyle/jumpstyle (hell, even I made it!!), take a look at ROMANCEPLANET!
I just think it's unfair to call the new gen of hardcore "jumpstyle", cuz it isn't rlly that... Plus people will keep being misinformed and spreading misinformation, and that sucks.
But in the end this was just a rlly opinionated rant and if u like this typa music idc, have fun bro, it ain't that serious lol (again the music itself isn't bad at all)

i love yabujin but his dj gyrotta za0 music has done irreprable damage 2 jumpstyle with his copycats which is sad as jumpstyle is a genre i hold close 2 my heart
more people need to appreciate the classics that patrick jumpen put out with dj dion :(

yesss i love romanceplanet 8) i wanna get into learning jumpstyle (bc out of all the rave dance moves i feel like it's the easiest to grasp? at least compared to the melbourne shuffle that's honestly so hard to learn as a beginner with absolutely no dance experience LOL) and go to raves this summer !! romanceplanet as well as dj flapjack are some of my biggest influences rn and i would love to get into the scene =)
jumpstyle is indeed one of the easiest edm dance moves, second place would be melbourne shuffle/ hardshuffle. if u want a good challenge u should try tecktonik ;))
btw if u want good tutorials 4 any edm dance, just look it up on youtube and look at sum of the oldest videos on there, they can teach u the old and good way!!

Listening to all of these example sent me back to that era where Skrillex used to be hella popular and where you could find hundreds and hundreds of several-hour-long EDM/dubstep playlists, as well as like, hardbass videos and all. I feel so nostalgic right now.
Now I listen to breakcore and stuff. Some things never chaaange. This was an interesting read. :]
I LOVE breakcore & breakbeat but i also LOVE oldskool hardstyle, techno n trance (and basically almost any type of edm subgenre)
