I've noticed a trend when it comes to paranormal investigating. Investigators have gotten away from the older ways of investigating and gone strictly to phone apps and REM pods

I'll admit those apps are interesting. I have them on my phone too. But are they reliable tools for investigating? Absolutely not. Just like the Ovilus based devices - they just spit out random words that are programmed into them.

And to prove that point, last night I was watching a  TikTok live by  an investigator here in Eastern Kentucky. And one of the phrasess that came across was "I'm from the 1700's."  Well I later watched a YouTube video of an investigation by another team in another state. And guess what phrase came across? "I'm from the 1700's." 

So yea the apps are fun to play with, but take them like a grain of salt when it comes to serious investigations.   Give me a ghost box  and a voice recorder any day of the week over the apps.
