"I'm looking for a well-built man, between 18 and 30 to be eaten."

Armin Meiwes posted this on a few cannibal forums, both in german and english as well, and it spread around since in the community people were used to roleplay cannibalistic scenarios, but no one actually intended to commit to those fantasies.

So this was a big thing on there already and some people actually replied to Arvin post, but they always ended up declining after realizing how messed up it was.
One of the volunteers even made it to Armin's mansion but, only after hearing what he was gonna do to his body, he left the house. Armin didn't stop him.
He could only kill a man who already wanted to die.
Quickly after Armin found a man who replied to his post, Bernd Brandes, and they started emailing each other.
Bernd was a 37 year old man (he lied to Amin about his age) who started questioning his sexuality in the past few years, this troubled his life a lot since he was married. Due to this. he divorced and started spending his time on cannibal websites.
He had a fantasy of being eaten alive.
He takes the chance tell this to Armin and tell him what he would like to do as well as how he'd like  to be consumed, he specifically wanted Armin to cut his penis off and eat it with him, it was a fantasy of him. He also wanted his skull to be used as an ashtray.

Armin invites him to his mansion one evening and they meet up for the first time there, Armin guides him to the "slaughtering room".
The room had a bed where Bernd laid down, Armin took a videocamera to document the whole thing, which was another idea from Bernd.
Armin proceeded by giving a sleeping pill (?) to the other man, telling him it would make him feel less pain.

He then began, starting off with cutting off his penis, already making Bernd lose so much blood and causing so much pain to him.
Armin only left the room to start cooking (LET HIM COOK!!!) and then gave a piece of Bernd's penis to him, who felt like the situation was so erotic, somehow.
The problem there, for Armin, was that the other man was still bleeding so much and was making a mess, so he decided to carry him to another room, he put him in the bathtub and left him there for a couple hours.
Armin started realizing the man wasn't gonna die by himself so he went to the bathtub, kissed him and then proceed to cut his  throat.
Once he took a picture of the corpse, he started sectioning the body in the following hours, putting away some parts of the man's body to eat it. He posted the picture of bernd's dead body on the cannibal forums, bragging about how he actually killed someone.
He took his best service he had, light up some candles and enjoy his long awaited dinner.

Armin continued eating Bernd's flesh in the following months everyday, never looking suspect to anyone in his life, he was a normal man. At least he looked like it.
He decided to search for another victim on the internet, once again, but this time it didn't go as unnoticed as the last time. A young man, who saw the pictures Armin had posted, started becoming actually suspicious and starte questioning if those photos were actually real. He reported him to the police, telling them that the might have actually eaten someone.
Then the police went to Armin's mantion to see what happened there, and found it, after opening the fridge and seeing some plastic bags full of meat. They could still see some parts of skin on it.
Armin never denied his crime even in front of the police.

On may 10th of 2006, Armin was sentenced to life in prison with murder and with disturbing the peace of the dead.
The videotape of the murder was never made public due its disturbing imagery.
