I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU TALK

I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU WALK

I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU TALK

I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU DRESS!!!!!!

The way I discuss stuff can vary from subject to subject. Sometimes I get a little poetic, getting my little poet beret on as I roleplay as Billy Woods trying to write a rap about pretty women or really good sandwiches over one of his regular doodoo beats. other times i just don't really give a damn and type like this lol. Both stylings have their pros and cons.

While I can be very communicative in how I express emotions or explain design philosophies or changes I make to my projects, it can also bore the shit out of most people and snuff out conversations with people who don't have the energy nor brainpower to write an essay regarding balance changes like I do. It can also get confusing, as my words tend to coil around certain key points both in text and in voice that, while fascinatingly verbose, lack that brevity that most people prefer when being taught something. I've been told countless times by people I love that I just never stop typing and that I need to learn how to cool my jets more often.

On the flip side, more simplistic styles of writing come off a lot nicer in casual settings. I have some friends who are on the spectrum and/or suffer from other ailments that sometimes get worried when I speak in proper English as they associate that with a negative or even threatening tone, when really that isn't the case. I won't fault them for that, the truth is that it's kinda scary when someone is writing laps around you about a subject and the proper grammar in a setting where nobody is really ever required to type that way can sometimes send the wrong message. This, unfortunately, is not exclusive to my long-form writing style. Often times I've had the opposite happen. Can you believe that!? I've had countless people tell me to take shit seriously or that I'm too immature to handle a task all because of my more laid back writing style. Like yeah dude, you're texting me the moment I come back from work and blowing my notifs up with how you desperately need my help, and then accuse me of not taking you seriously when I don't give me time to breathe!! It's annoying and obnoxious and the kneejerk reactions I get are why I omly ever do the casual writing style to people who are close to me, even though you'd think it'd be way less effort.

What do you think, though? Do you ever find yourself in the positions I'm in? It's not super rare given most people have some separation between their casual and serious lives, I just find myself having to do these splits entirely within my casual life. You hear what I'm saying with all this? Cause if you do, have your ears checked, because no one has said a word.
