i saw a tweet earlier that listed 'evidence' that both kurt cobain and richey edwards were trans women
and the evidence was essentially
- wore and enjoyed feminine clothing or makeup sometimes
- mentally ill (clearly entirely due to dysphoria, apparently)
- didn't come out because Society
i was gonna bookmark it to complain but i guess i forgot and now i can't find it again (i want to believe they deleted it) so here we are
liking
feminine clothing means fuckall. skirts are comfy. the womens' section
in shops is full of nicer patterns and colours the mens' section is
boring. if wearing trousers made a women a trans man there wouldn't be
any women left
dysphoria severely fucks with
your head but so does a lot of other things??? that's not the only
reason someone could be going through things??? this makes zero sense
of
all the early 90s rock musicians you pick 2 who went against everything
and reason no one thinks they're trans solely because they didn't want
to face society. right. to be fair i do kinda get this point, between
realising i was trans and actually coming out i was a little bitch but
also scared to come out... so if you had actual evidence this would be
kinda valid and especially 30 years ago
i
loooove seeing trans representation but i don't want to force people
into being my representation?? if i remember right it was a trans woman
who posted this... i can think of several very cool musicians who are
Actually Trans Women
the other way around would be me pointing at literally any mentally ill woman in trousers and chanting one of us one of us
but all i see is 2 people who fucked around with gender a bit. hell maybe they were trans. i don't fucking know. and i don't think it's anyone's business to decide things like that when we can't exactly ask them any more
and
you don't have to look far at all to even more notorious genderfucker
nicky wire, who has said in several interviews i don't feel like looking
up at the moment that he's a cis man who happens to like feminine clothing and
makeup. take a brief glimpse into the world of fashion and look, men in
feminine clothing. take a brief glimpse into the world of goth and
look, men in heavy makeup. and i'm sure there's some people in either
group with similar mental health issues
it's
kind of regressing back to traditional gender roles either way. you
like skirts? you have long hair? you wear makeup? woman. i thought
we were trying to break out of that
if you
want to make someone trans that's what fictional character headcanons
are for go get into a queer-dominated anime fandom or something
yap session over i'm gonna go outside now
